The Cypress Centurions will challenge the Segerstrom Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Cypress' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.
Cypress took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 64-19 win over Santa Ana. That looming 64-19 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Centurions yet this season.

Cypress' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sarina Ulep Rodriguez led the charge by putting up ten points. Ulep Rodriguez has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kiana Mitchell, who posted 13 points.
Cypress smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, Segerstrom strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against Ayala by a score of 47-40.
Segerstrom found their leader in sophomore April Valenciano, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten assists. Those ten assists set a new season-high mark for Valenciano. Jaida Cervantes was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and ten boards.
The victory got Cypress back to even at 3-3. As for Segerstrom, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Cypress has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 33 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Segerstrom struggles in that department as they've been averaging 25.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Cypress beat Segerstrom 71-58 in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Jaguars' Brianna Urena, who went 10-for-16 en route to 23 points and seven steals.
