The Healdton Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Thackerville Wildcats with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Healdton skirted past Thackerville 43-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Healdton also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2020.
Healdton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Cade Ellis out in front who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Ellis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Preston Wolf was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 4 steals.
Healdton's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Thackerville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Healdton will take on Springer at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Thackerville, they will play host again and welcome Mill Creek, where tip off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Mill Creek and Thackerville are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads.
