Sylmar is a perfect 3-0 against Lincoln since November of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Spartans will challenge the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in Sylmar's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests.
Sylmar is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Panorama: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Spartans blew the Pythons out of the water with a 106-34 final score. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.

Tim Tanner had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 5-for-8 from deep and dropping a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 43.8% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Montemayor, who shot 67% from the field on his way to 21 points and five rebounds.
Sylmar smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Lincoln lost to Marshall at home by a 53-34 margin on Friday.
Sylmar will have to keep a close watch on Aaron Merlos and Rush Stroska, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lincoln's prior game. Merlos posted ten points, while Stroska had seven points. Anthony Sanchez was another key player, putting up four points and five boards.
Sylmar is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 98.4 points over those games. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sylmar has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 23.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging 37.8 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Sylmar was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 73-66. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Tigers' Adam Sanchez, who went 9-for-19 to rack up 22 points and eight rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be easier for the Spartans to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
