Jordan Shambley led the charge by throwing for 210 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 63 yards and one score. The Patriots' leading receiver Kahden Smith was Shambley's top target yet again, picking up 152 receiving yards and one TD.
Hillcrest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Devon Jones. The game marked his first with multiple interceptions this season.
Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Oak Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
