The Hagerty Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Winter Springs 71-38 at home. The win was just what Hagerty needed coming off of a 65-41 loss in their prior game.
Hagerty was led to victory by Caden Douglass and Alex Dipaolo. Douglass dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Dipaolo dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Julian Declou was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Hagerty pushed their record up to 11-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points per game. As for Winter Springs, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-5.
Hagerty and Oviedo will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Oviedo is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. Winter Springs won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th.
