Boquet Valley and Willsboro Central are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. Boquet Valley can attribute much of their success to Jackson Hooper, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Hooper has scored at least 25% of Boquet Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Bode Buehler, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Willsboro Central sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 victory over Seton Catholic Central on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Willsboro Central.
Boquet Valley's victory lifted them to 3-0 while Chazy's defeat dropped them down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Boquet Valley against Willsboro Central in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 63-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Boquet Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
