The Clovis West Golden Eagles fell victim to the Central Grizzlies''s stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Grizzlies, falling 40-0. It was the first time this season that Clovis West let down their fans at home.
Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jelani Dippel out in front who threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. JT Albert was another key contributor, rushing for 96 yards on only five carries.
Clovis West's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Central, the victory was the sixth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Clovis West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Central will head out on the road to face off against Clovis North at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
