Baseball Recap: Bristol Wins Going Away Against Badger

Bristol won the last time they faced Badger and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Braves with a sharp 16-5 win. Considering the Panthers have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Berry was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Brock Pierce also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Bristol always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Badger only posted an OBP of .304.

Bristol is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Badger, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bristol will host Heartland Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Badger, they will be playing at home against Chalker at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.9 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of.
