The Norris Titans entered their tilt with the Bennington Badgers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Norris came out on top against Bennington by a score of 57-47 on Friday. Given Norris' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Bennington is ranked 42nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grace Kohler was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Nicole Keetle was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Norris' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Bennington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.
Norris will head out on the road to square off against Hastings at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bennington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Omaha North at 2:30 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Omaha North focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 two weeks ago.
