Gaston Christian had won 11 straight games and Cameron Newman did his part to make it 12 on Tuesday. The Eagles claimed a resounding 78-33 victory over the Parris Prep Academy Panthers with plenty of help from Newman, who shot 50% from the field en route to 22 points in addition to five boards and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Brayden Milner, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and four steals. He also put up a block, which was his first of the season.

Gaston Christian's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Parris Prep Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Gaston Christian will head out to square off against Asheville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59.83 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Parris Prep Academy, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Christ School at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
