Eastmont barely beat Wenatchee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Eastmont was the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over Wenatchee on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won three games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Elizabeth Heinz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Heinz was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Eastmont let Ellie Holben and Brittany Howe run wild. Holben scored two runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3, while Howe went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Holben a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Halle Radach, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Eastmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Glacier Peak won against Lake Stevens on Wednesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Glacier Peak came out on top against Kamiak by a score of 11-8. With that win, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Emma Hirshorn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Morgan Udy was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Audrey Fortune, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
Eastmont's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Glacier Peak, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Eastmont hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Glacier Peak struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Eastmont came out on top in a nail-biter against Glacier Peak in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Eastmont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glacier Peak turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
