Prairie State recap September 24, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Nokomis/Ramsey, who took down 386th ranked Mt. Olive, 26-21. Austin Chausse ran for 125 yards in the win.
Marquette Catholic was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fifth to second in Prairie State. The Explorers beat South Fork/Edinburg/Morrisonville 53-13 earlier in the week.
The Wildcats' dynamic duo of Jacob Neihaus and Brenden O'Neal proved tough for the Redskins to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Neihaus threw for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns and O'Neal had 109 yards receiving.
Mt. Olive's dynamic duo of Neihaus and O'Neal proved to be unstoppable against Nokomis/Ramsey, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Neihaus put up the best numbers through the air as Josh Martin's team fell to gabe cesaretti's team.
O'Neal was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wildcats fell to the Redskins.
Chausse was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Bryce Pavolka added to the ground attack by rushing for 97 yards.
Mt. Olive's Neihaus and O'Neal have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Prairie State in both passing and receiving yards. Neihaus has thrown for 608 yards this season, while O'Neal, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 18 catches for 397 yards. Chausse from Nokomis/Ramsey leads the league in rushing with 409 yards.
The Redskins are in first place, while Bunker Hill is in seventh place.
Nokomis/Ramsey moved up to 408 from 466 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Redskins were able to move up by beating the Wildcats 26-21.
