After flying high against Oak Hills last Friday, Lakota West came back down to earth. The Firebirds lost to the Lakota East Thunderhawks on the road by a 42-28 margin on Friday. Ryder Hooks produced another solid performance rushing for 290 yards and four scores while picking up 10.4 yards per carry for Lakota East. Hooks also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was Nile Knutson, who threw for 197 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes.
