It was a good run, but the Glendora Tartans unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Claremont. Glendora was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Claremont apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Several Tartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ronnie Herrmann, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. Herrmann's trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Brianna Gomez, who scored ten points.
Glendora's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-3. As for Claremont, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glendora will square off against Alta Loma at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Alta Loma has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for Claremont, they will head out on the road to challenge Colony at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Colony will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 531st, while Claremont is ranked 79th).
