Volleyball Recap: Central Valley Finds Home Court Redemption Against Fullerton

There's no place like home for Central Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Fullerton Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Central Valley was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-12.

Cayle Grossart paced Central Valley's offense, picking up eight kills. Grossart got some help from Annaka Wood and her 19 assists. Laurel Mann controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Central Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fullerton, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Central Valley and Fullerton will both be playing Riverside the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Cougars will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
