It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bolles had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed past the Walton Braves to the tune of 63-13. Considering the Bulldogs have won nine matchups by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Xander Edwards continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 112 yards and four TDs on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 66 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Camden Tietze, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Bolles didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Simeon Caldwell and Santana Starks.
The win (which was Bolles' eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.0 points on average over those games. As for Walton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Looking ahead, Bolles will be playing at home against Florida State University High School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Walton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
