It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Langston Hughes ultimately got the result they hoped for two weeks ago. They pulled ahead with a 60-59 photo finish over South Paulding. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

The contest was Catholic's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Schaeffer, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Fayette County's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Jasper by a score of 47-44.
