Mount Mercy Academy had lost ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it 11. They lost 18-2 to the Mount St. Mary Academy Thunder. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

On Mount St. Mary Academy's side, Isabella Kilonsky made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Kilonsky has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
