The Montoursville Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the Mount Carmel RED TORNADOES at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Montoursville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Montoursville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They didn't even let Milton on the board, marking the Warriors' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Brody Aldenderfer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Montoursville got a massive performance out of Jimmy Mussina, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI Mussina has posted since back in April of 2024. Michael Reeder also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Montoursville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mount Carmel, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They came out on top against Central Columbia by a score of 9-6 on Wednesday. The RED TORNADOES haven't had any issues with the Bluejays recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Noah Shimko looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, Lukas Carpenter was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jon Morgante, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Mount Carmel's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Montoursville, their record now sits at 10-1-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Montoursville has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Mount Carmel struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
