After flying high against Ridgeview on Monday, LeRoy came back down to earth. The Panthers fell just short of the Tremont Turks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Kobe Brent was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jack Bogema also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

LeRoy's loss dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Tremont, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LeRoy will face off against Mt. Pulaski at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hilltoppers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tremont, they will head out on the road to take on Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Turks are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
