Given Warrensburg's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 336th, while Fort Ann is ranked 759th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Warrensburg's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Steve Schloss led the charge by scoring 36 points. Schloss is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brady Cheney, who scored 23 points.
Warrensburg is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Fort Ann, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Warrensburg will be playing at home against Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitehall is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Fort Ann, they will square off against Granville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Granville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Friday.
