The Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 63-25 win over Carrollwood Day. The win was familiar territory for Academy of the Holy Names who now have three in a row.
Lucy Morey continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with eight steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Gavin, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Academy of the Holy Names pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points per game. As for Carrollwood Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.
Academy of the Holy Names will take on Wiregrass Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wiregrass Ranch will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 259th, while Academy of the Holy Names is ranked 77th). As for Carrollwood Day, Carrollwood Day and Land O' Lakes will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
