Volleyball Recap: Miyamura Gets the Win

Shiprock came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Miyamura, but Kenna Briggs wouldn't allow it. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Chieftains 3-2 on Thursday thanks in part to Briggs, who had 13 digs. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Miyamura who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 22-25, 25-14, 22-25, 15-8.

Miyamura now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Shiprock, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-9.

As of now, neither Miyamura nor the Chieftains have any future games scheduled.
