Sammamish is 9-1 against Highline since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The RedHawks will welcome the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Sammamish is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Sammamish barely beat Lindbergh the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The RedHawks never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the RedHawks in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.
Not much got past Jack Lansdowne, who gave up just two hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Lindbergh off the board. Lansdowne has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Lincoln Castillo was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kolin Jaster, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Sammamish kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lindbergh only managed two hits.
Bellevue hit Highline with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pirates lost 12-2 to the Wolverines. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost three in a row.
Highline saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Nava Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Sammamish's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Highline, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.
Sammamish was able to grind out a solid victory over Highline when the teams last played last Wednesday, winning 6-1. Will the RedHawks repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
