Even though the Perris Panthers scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, the San Jacinto Tigers still came out on top. San Jacinto skirted past Perris 59-57. The win made it back-to-back wins for San Jacinto.
San Jacinto's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Stephen Castleberry, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. The game was Castleberry's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Mejia, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds.
San Jacinto is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Perris, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
