The University School of Jackson Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 20 points or more this season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2023 than the 68-41 stomp they got on the road against Jackson Central Merry. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-20.
University School of Jackson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Keyl, who scored 25 points. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Mills Terry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
University School of Jackson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Jackson Central Merry, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
University School of Jackson will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Ripley at 11:30 a.m. on December 30th. Jackson Central Merry will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on January 19, 2024.
