Heritage Christian had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Portage Christian with a sharp 46-20 victory on Tuesday. The win was just what Heritage Christian needed coming off of a 73-22 defeat in their prior match.
Heritage Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Lenting, who scored ten points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Bekah VanderMeulen, who scored nine points along with two blocks.
Clinton Christian suffered their biggest loss yet this season on January 9th. They took a serious blow against Lakewood Park Christian, falling 62-2. While losing is never fun, Clinton Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 404th, while Lakewood Park Christian is ranked 158th).
Heritage Christian's victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-11. As for Clinton Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Heritage Christian against Clinton Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 48-17 win.
