The Mission Oak Hawks struggled with assists on Friday (the Lemoore Tigers had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. The matchup between both teams wasn't particularly close, with Mission Oak falling 64-48. They have not had much luck with Lemoore recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Mission Oak lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Azevedo, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Levi Jimenez, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
It was another big night for Kaden Lopes, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds for Lemoore. Andrew Mora was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Mission Oak's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lemoore, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Mission Oak will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Tulare Union at 7:15 p.m. Tulare Union has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 421 points over their last six contests. Lemoore won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Frontier at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th.
