The Coronado Dons had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Browne, posting a 62-17 win on the road. Coronado's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Coronado was led to victory by Ariel Douglas and Jayda Begay. Douglas scored nine points along with ten rebounds and four blocks, while Begay scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Begay scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Celeste Parker, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Browne struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Coronado pulled down 13 offensive rebounds.
Coronado's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Browne, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Maryvale the next time they take the court. Coronado will head out to face Maryvale at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Browne will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th.
