The Northridge Grizzlies entered their tilt with the Palmer Ridge Bears with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Northridge snuck past Palmer Ridge with a 35-29 victory on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Northridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Northridge found their leader in underclassman Sophia Carbajal, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. The contest was Carbajal's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jillyin Fulton, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Taylor Peterson and Addison Steenland certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Peterson scored three points along with 11 rebounds and six steals, while Steenland scored six points along with three steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Northridge's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Palmer Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Northridge and Northfield will face off at 1:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Northfield is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.8 points per game.
