Volleyball Recap: Tucson High Magnet School Comes Up Short

The Tucson High Magnet School Badgers lost 3-0 to the Highland Hawks on Wednesday. The Badgers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Tucson High Magnet School was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22, 25-18.

Aynsley Jones paced Tucson High Magnet School's offense, picking up five kills. Jones got some help from Taltos Geml and his ten assists. Finally, Arthur Pi?a kept Tucson High Magnet School's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Tucson High Magnet School's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Highland, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-9-1.

After both having extra time off, Tucson High Magnet School and Marana will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Badgers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Highland, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Desert Ridge on the 11th.
