The Holy Family Tigers put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Centaurus 62-25 at home. Holy Family has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 31 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Holy Family to victory, but perhaps none more so than Julia Hodell, who scored eight points along with nine steals. Hodell is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracie Ward, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Centaurus still got an impressive performance from Ingrid Lorton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Holy Family pushed their record up to 11-0 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 42.4 points. As for Centaurus, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
Holy Family will be playing at home against Longmont at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Longmont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 101st, while Holy Family is ranked seventh). As for Centaurus, they will head out on the road to take on Mead at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mead has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
