The Aragon Dons will take on the St. Ignatius College Preparatory Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Aragon beat Watsonville 9-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dons.

Taylor Workman and Olivia Mukherjee did most of the damage at the plate: Workman scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Mukherjee scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave Mukherjee a new career-high in runs. Destiny Garcia was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.
Aragon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .528. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Watsonville only posted an OBP of .343.
Meanwhile, St. Ignatius College Preparatory put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against Marin Catholic. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory St. Ignatius College Preparatory has posted since March 14, 2024.
Cassidy Chew spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.
On the hitting side, Gianna Galarza was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Delilah Berry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Aragon's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for St. Ignatius College Preparatory, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Monday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Aragon hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .346. However, it's not like St. Ignatius College Preparatory struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Aragon's way against St. Ignatius College Preparatory when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Aragon made off with a 9-2 win. Will Aragon repeat their success, or does St. Ignatius College Preparatory have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
