Clinton Central had lost five straight, but after bumping their record up to 4-8-1 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over Horizon Christian. Considering the Bulldogs have won four games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nuriah Harvey made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. Harvey was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Clinton Central got a big performance out of Addi Mounts, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Mounts has posted since back in March. Jordyn Ball was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Clinton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
As for Horizon Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 3.91 runs allowed.
On Horizon Christian's side, Brooke Wrightsman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Ella Mowery, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Clinton Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 26-3 defeat against Mississinewa on the 6th. As for Horizon Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-3 loss against Heritage Christian on the 8th.
