The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors were the 78-63 winner over the Peak to Peak Pumas when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Eagle Ridge Academy fell to Peak to Peak 61-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Eagle Ridge Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Garcia, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garcia has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Wanrow, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Peak to Peak's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tysen Burton, who scored 12 points along with six steals and five assists. Burton is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Grant Boonstra was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Eagle Ridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Peak to Peak, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Eagle Ridge Academy will be playing at home against Colorado Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Colorado Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Peak to Peak, they will take on The Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully The Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Saturday.
