A well-balanced attack led Central over Northview in every quarter on their way to victory on Thursday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 51-26 win. The 51-point effort marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Baxley, who posted 13 points and seven boards. Baxley has also also been stellar as far as three-point shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cohen Hoodless, who earned 11 points and six rebounds.

Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Central's record now sits at 6-1. As for Northview, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 62-49 defeat against Paxton on the 5th. As for Northview, they will square off against L.E.A.D. Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. The Chiefs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
