The Happy Camp Indians had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 38-28 victory over Surprise Valley on Tuesday. That's another feather in the cap for Happy Camp, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Happy Camp's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Day, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luis Osorio, who scored seven points along with five steals.
Happy Camp's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Surprise Valley, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
