Harrisonville is 2-8 against Odessa since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wildcats will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Harrisonville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Harrisonville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clinton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's matchup. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 11-1 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
Jayci Winters made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

In other batting news, Harrisonville let Haisley Hill and Paige Cribbs run wild. Hill went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Cribbs went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Cribbs has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brylee Henson-Dawson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Harrisonville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Odessa ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Summit Christian Academy.
Bella Blackaby spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Odessa's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kenna Pierson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Harrisonville's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Odessa, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
