Meade is 10-0 against Glen Burnie since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The pair will face off at 6:45 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Meade has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three matchups.
Last Wednesday, Meade strolled past Annapolis with points to spare, taking the game 64-45. Given Meade's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while Annapolis is ranked 223rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Josh Holmes was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. James Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Glen Burnie, as they earned their first road win of the season. They slipped by Crofton 53-52 on Tuesday.
Meade has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Glen Burnie, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Meade strolled past Glen Burnie in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 69-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Meade since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
