Greenfield's last matchup with Hampshire Regional could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Tuesday. The Green Wave lost 14-2 to the Raiders. Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin County Tech). Brayleigh Burgh spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Samantha Duncan was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lindsey Taylor, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Franklin County Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
