The Shoreland Lutheran Pacers will head out to take on the Palmyra-Eagle Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Shoreland Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Shoreland Lutheran barely beat Dominican the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pacers were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Knights on Thursday. The Pacers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 10th (when they won 15-0).

Robert Triplett tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).
At the plate, Michael Curran was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Shoreland Lutheran is undefeated when Curran posts two or more runs, but 3-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Chase Creuziger, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Johnson Creek hit Palmyra-Eagle with a five-run first inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers came up short against the Bluejays, falling 12-0. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Bluejays recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Palmyra-Eagle saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D Walsh, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Walsh has hit this season.
The victory (which was Shoreland Lutheran's third in a row) raised their record to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Palmyra-Eagle, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Shoreland Lutheran has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Palmyra-Eagle struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Shoreland Lutheran came out on top in a nail-biter against Palmyra-Eagle in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pacers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
