Even though the Taylorsville Warriors scored an imposing 57 points on Wednesday, the Mountain Ridge Sentinels still came out on top. Mountain Ridge strolled past Taylorsville with points to spare, taking the game 73-57. The win made it back-to-back wins for Mountain Ridge.
Leading Mountain Ridge to victory were Spencer Krainich and Will Lindsay. Krainich scored 23 points along with 6 assists, while Lindsay scored 33 points along with 6 rebounds. The matchup was Lindsay's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Jake Allen was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Taylorsville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bronson Dallimore, who scored 21 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kobe Allen, who scored 9 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds.
He wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Taylorsville were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mountain Ridge only racked up 22.
Mountain Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Taylorsville, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Ridge will take on Salem Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Salem Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Taylorsville, they will be playing at home against Stansbury at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Stansbury is ranked 98th, while Taylorsville is ranked 109th).
