Northside took down Dixon 40-13 last week, the largest margin of any game.
North Brunswick led 2A Conference 18 in scoring this week by notching 42 points on Croatan.
Malik Simons was a passing and rushing force as the Bulldogs lost to the Monarchs.
Tyrone Roby made the biggest impact on defense this week as East Duplin fell to Southwest Onslow. He recorded 1 fumble.
Simons was a force in the backfield as Dixon lost to Northside.
Simons was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 45 carries, he ran for 305 yards as Brandon Iseman's team lost to the Stallions. Teammate Robbi Wyble added to the ground attack by rushing for 72 yards.
The Scorpions' Randy Clark and Kevon Perkins have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Clark has thrown for 676 yards this season, while Perkins has 13 catches for 331 yards. Simons from the Bulldogs leads the league in rushing with 1,489 yards.
One of 2A Conference 18's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when North Brunswick and Dixon face off next week.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Bob Eason's team takes on Southwest Onslow. As it stands, the Monarchs are in third, while Phil Padgett's team is in first.
The league will see a high scoring game when the Bulldogs and Garry Bishop's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Dixon comes in having scored 241 this season, while the Scorpions have scored 138. The Bulldogs scored 13 points last week as they fell to Northside.
The Monarchs made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,470 from 4,653. The advance stemmed from a 40-13 victory over Dixon last week.
