Westfield hasn't had much luck against Avon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rocks will head out on the road to square off against the Orioles at 6:00 p.m. Westfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Westfield will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Ben Davis on Friday. The Rocks blew past the Giants 17-3. That looming 17-3 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rocks yet this season.
Brinna Dale made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Back at the plate, Westfield got a massive performance out of Alyssa Ayers, who fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits Ayers has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Pulice, who went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Westfield lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ben Davis didn't launched any.
Meanwhile, Avon entered their tilt with Crown Point on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Westfield hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Avon struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Westfield came up short against Avon in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, falling 7-3. Can the Rocks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
