The Meadows School managed a 43-38 win over Boulder City on Monday. This was payback for The Meadows School, who suffered a 46-42 loss the last time these two teams met.
The Meadows School's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tessa Lalanne led the charge by scoring 19 points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie de Wit, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.
Boulder City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Addie Doane, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Kiley Flowers was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
The Meadows School now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Boulder City, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Meadows School will take on Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Boulder City, they will head out on the road to face off against Pahrump Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pahrump Valley's defense has only allowed 24 points per game this season, so Boulder City's offense will have their work cut out for Boulder City.
