Baseball Recap: Floyd Central Beats Knott County Central for Their Third Straight Win

Floyd Central put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Knott County Central Patriots by a score of 10-7. For the Jaguars, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Jace Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Martin was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kolten Crum, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Luke Gibson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Floyd Central's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
