Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from AVA KETELSEN, who had eight kills and seven digs. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more kills the last three times she's played. KENLEY PATTERSON was another key player, getting five kills and four digs.
Meanwhile, Scales Mound had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Warriors.
Scales Mound had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 27-25.
River Ridge dropped their record down to 7-18-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Scales Mound, their victory bumped their record up to 14-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Wednesday's match: River Ridge has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 4.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Scales Mound struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
