The Clinton Central Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 22 points or more this season. They blew past Lebanon 60-34. Winning may never get old, but Clinton Central sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Leading Clinton Central to victory were Carly Davison and Sara Parkison. Davison dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten assists, while Parkison scored 25 points along with six rebounds and five blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Parkison has scored at least 25% of Clinton Central's points. Another player making a difference was Erika Robbins, who scored seven points.
Lebanon lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Claire Boling, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Vanaman, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Clinton Central's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Clinton Central will be home for the holidays to greet Tri-Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 272nd, while Clinton Central is ranked 69th). Lebanon is on the road again on Friday and play against Danville at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. Danville will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
