Volleyball Recap: Independence Has No Trouble Against North

Independence won the last time they faced North and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Blue Devils blew past the Rangers 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Independence took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-11.

Luke Masek paced Independence's offense, picking up 13 kills. Masek got some help from Jamie Panichi and his 33 assists. Masek was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Independence's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Independence will face off against rival Kenston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, North is set to take on their familiar foe Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
