Landon has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Bullis Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Landon has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Saturday, Landon earned a 63-52 win over Episcopal.
Landon's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aristeides John Hobson, who scored 16 points along with two steals, and Francis Mannino, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. John Hobson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Ubie Zaid was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Bullis had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They managed a 74-70 victory over 1 of 1 Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Landon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Bullis, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
Landon ended up a good deal behind Bullis in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, losing 64-45. Can Landon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
